Turntable Club — Support

Take turns picking the album. Listen, rate, discuss, and watch your taste evolve.

How it works

  1. Create a club on the Clubs tab. Name it, set a cadence (weekly or monthly), and either go solo or invite a couple of friends.
  2. The picker chooses an album — from their queue, an artist's discography, or one of the curated Discover crates.
  3. Everyone listens. Rate the album and individual tracks (1–10) and write a short review when you have something to say.
  4. Reveal. When the period ends, all reactions surface at once — including an on-device AI summary if your device supports Apple Intelligence.
  5. Rotate. The next picker is up, and the cycle continues.

FAQ

Do I need an Apple Music subscription?

No, but full-track playback inside the app requires one. Without it, you can listen to the standard 30-second previews Apple provides, or open any pick in your music app of choice.

Where is my data stored?

In your iCloud account, in a private Turntable Club CloudKit container. Nothing is sent to any Turntable Club server because there isn't one. Club content syncs to other members through Apple's CloudKit sharing.

Why can't my friend see my club?

Two things to check: (1) they need to have signed in with their iCloud account on their device, and (2) they need to have tapped the share invitation link you sent them via Messages, Mail, or AirDrop. The link opens the app and accepts the share automatically.

The AI summary card never shows up.

The "Differing opinions" / track-highlights / club-summary cards use Apple Intelligence, which requires iOS 26+ on a supported device. The rest of the rating and reveal experience works without it.

An album I added shows the wrong title or artist.

Album metadata comes from Apple Music's catalog. If something looks wrong, it's probably the catalog entry — try removing and re-adding the album, which will pick up any catalog corrections.

My turn is coming up and I haven't picked anything.

If you've enabled auto-pick (Profile → Auto-pick on next turn, or per-club in Club Settings), the top of your queue is applied automatically when the period rolls over. The Upcoming tab shows what would auto-pick so you can override before the boundary.

How do I leave a club?

Club Settings → "Leave club" at the bottom. Your past picks stay in the club's history for the other members; new content from the club stops syncing to you.

How do I delete all my Turntable Club data?

Sign in to iCloud and manage the Turntable Club container under iCloud storage. Removing it there wipes the iCloud-stored data. Also delete the app from your devices to remove local copies.
