Turntable Club helps you and a small group of friends share albums and discuss them. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
Nothing. Turntable Club does not operate any servers of its own. There is no Turntable Club account, login, or cloud database we control. We do not collect analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprints.
When you use the app, the following content is stored in your own iCloud account (the app's CloudKit private and shared databases, tied to your Apple ID):
This data is private to you and the members you have explicitly invited to a club via Apple's standard CloudKit sharing mechanism. It syncs across your own devices and to other club members through Apple's iCloud infrastructure. Apple's iCloud privacy is described at apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/icloud.
The app uses Apple's MusicKit framework to search the Apple Music catalog when you pick or queue albums, read album metadata (titles, artwork, track lists), and play tracks (full-length for Apple Music subscribers; otherwise the 30-second preview Apple provides for everyone). We do not transmit your Apple Music listening history, library, or any other personal Apple Music data anywhere. MusicKit access is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
On supported devices (iOS 26+ on Apple-Intelligence-eligible hardware), the app can generate a short summary of how your club reacted to a pick by sending the club's reviews and ratings to Apple's on-device language model. This processing happens entirely on the device — no review text or rating data leaves the device for AI purposes. The resulting short summary is then stored in iCloud (per "What is stored in your iCloud" above) so other members can read it without re-running the model.
If you opt in, the app sends local and push notifications about your turn coming up, new picks revealed, and similar events. Push notifications are routed through Apple's Push Notification service. We do not collect notification content or delivery data.
Turntable Club is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at the email below and we will work with Apple to remove it.
The app does not embed any third-party SDKs that collect data — no analytics, no crash reporting, no ad networks. The only external services in use are Apple's own (CloudKit, MusicKit, Apple Push Notification service, Apple Intelligence).
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at the same URL. Material changes will be communicated through the app where practical.
